NOTE: Teachers Supply Drive for this meeting (see below)

How will the deliberations and decisions in Washington impact the benefits world? Join us November 14th to find out.

Back by popular demand, Jim Klein, President of the American Benefits Council, will provide the inside scoop on how political developments are likely to affect the future of the Total Rewards industry, benefits and compensation practices, as well as health and retirement policy.

The American Benefits Council, a Washington, D.C.-based employee benefits public policy organization, advocates for employers, connecting public policy and private-sector solutions to shape employee benefits for the evolving global workforce.  The Council works closely with Congress, the White House, executive branch agencies and the courts to champion legislation, regulation and legal rulings favorable to its members’ needs, and to defend the employer-sponsored benefits system from proposals that would add burdens, liabilities and costs.

Sign up early as this in person event fills up fast.  You won’t want to miss Jim’s balanced point of view and quick wit!

E: Teachers donate a lot of their own money to supplies for their classroom to ensure children have a great learning environment.  We are helping NKC school district but asking for school supplies or a financial contribution at our November meeting.  The supplies needed can be found  below or for a financial donation link: Please select “School Supply Drive” under the option to “Designate My Donation." If you would like to bring items, their wish list includes: sets of earbuds, electric pencil sharpeners, iPad charging stations, clipboards, calculators, classroom sets of scissors, magnetic whiteboard erasers, USB keyboards and USB mouses for PC's, rulers, bouncy bands for the bottom of desks, iPad chargers, rolling utility card organizers, strong magnets, small microphones to record podcasts (for iPads), and Sharpie markers.
