Pay equity continues to be in the news and on the minds of HR professionals.  It has many dimensions and challenges for organizations.  Join us for this afternoon meeting and social hour:

Total Rewards KC is pleased to welcome three experts on the topic who will provide insight and updates on the legislative, compliance, practice, and process implications of the pay equity issue. Some of the questions and challenges that will be addressed include:

  • Staying abreast of legislation, demographic shifts, and social media implications
  • Determining which criteria to evaluate to ensure fairness
  • Addressing the difficulty in developing best process to monitor for discrepancies
  • How to best plan time and resources for analysis and monitoring

Our three experts are:

Mariann Madden is a Rewards Director based in Willis Towers Watson’s Chicago office. She has over 20 years of experience as an advisor to external clients, organizational leaders and internal practitioners on global total rewards and organizational development matters. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson in 2014, Mariann served in organizational development, talent management, and compensation consulting roles at Heitman LLC, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and Arthur Andersen LLP.


Kimberly A. Jones is currently serving as the Managing Partner of Seyferth Blumenthal & Harris LLC.  She  is an employment trial lawyer representing companies, not-for-profits and higher education institutions in federal and state courts and before AAA and labor arbitration panels. In addition to providing day-to-day counsel on human resources issues, she trains management and nonmanagement employees nationwide on a variety of employment issues, including prohibited harassment, effective supervision and managing the absent employee.


Michael L. Blumenthal is an attorney with Seyferth Blumenthal & Harris LLC. His legal career has been devoted to representing management in workplace legal issues and representing businesses in high-stakes business litigation. Mike is known as an aggressive and passionate trial lawyer.  Mike is often called upon by other lawyers to mediate and arbitrate their lawsuits. Mike serves as a Master in the Ross T. Roberts Inn of Court, an educational program sponsored by the United States District Court for Western District of Missouri designed to help enhance the trial skills of young lawyers.
