Sign up for one of Total Rewards KC's most popular meetings of the year - Roundtable Discussions. You'll have the opportunity to discuss your burning HR problems, learn from your colleagues, and contribute your knowledge to the topic. 


A Networking Reception will follow from 4:30 - 6:00 pm with drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

  • 1. Pharmacy Trends:  Are you keeping up with this ever-changing industry?  Pharmacogenetics, migraine specialty meds, value based contracts, Trump’s proposed changes, Amazon’s impact, etc.  Let’s discuss what you should (and should not) be paying attention to.
  • 2. Compensation Challenges:  How do you balance internal equity versus external competitiveness and keep the talent you want to keep?  We'll discuss factors to consider with the new microscopic look at pay equity and how transparent companies are with their pay programs.
  • 3. Total Rewards Communication:  How do you leverage the value of your total rewards package to meaningfully connect your employee value proposition with your employees?  What tools and methods do you use to provide a consumer-grade experience in communication of your total rewards?  Come share your experiences and new ideas as we discuss the trends and market pressures influencing the what, when, how, and how often challenges in communication of total rewards.
  • 4. Workplace and Talent Trends:  What are Kansas City companies doing to recruit and retain top talent?  How does talent development and training lead to a more engaged and productive workforce?  What are some additional (and often imaginative) perks employers are offering to win the war for talent?
  • 5. Healthcare Policy:  Are you keeping up with the latest on healthcare policy? What do you, as an employer, need to know?  We’ll discuss the latest in HSA legislation, the Cadillac tax, wellness program guidelines and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • 6. Wellness/Well-Being Programs:  How are you implementing wellness programs in your company?  Current trends in wellness go beyond physical fitness and nutrition to include social, emotional, career, financial, and community health. What are your challenges in supporting this total well-being approach for your workforce?  What will it take to shape the cultures of trust, respect, and resilience that are foundational to this well-being approach?
How it works: 
Table size will be limited to 8-10 people. Facilitators will introduce the topic and steer the discussion. Participants are asked to contribute their topical issues and share their ideas about other issues. Come prepared to learn something new about your hot topics AND to share your ideas/best practices.

When you register, you will indicate your top three table choices on the registration form. We will make every effort to place you at the table of your top choice.
